First Date Tips For All Occasions [article from Articleranks]

First Date Tips For All Occasions

At last, the day of reckoning has arrived. Can't blame you if you're edgy. It doesn't matter who picked who, or whether you have decided to meet each other in a neutral place, the question is what to do on the first date?

The main concept of a perfect first date is to get to know each other, therefore, the perfect first date will usually involve a nice conversation and not some adventurous extreme activities.

If you're dating on a nice, balmy evening you and your date can enjoy a nice, pleasant, flowing conversation underneath the moonlight at your local park, or you could have a daytime date at said park and order a wholesome cone of ice cream for the two of you.

If the weather isn't warm enough, you'll probably have to stay indoors. Having a first date in one of your apartments can be intimidating for both sides since the guest doesn't know yet the person he she are visiting, and can't completely trust them. And hosts can also feel overwhelmed by the potential threats to their privacy. Ergo, you would want to interpret "staying indoors" as going to a cafe or bar.

When choosing the best place for your first date, keep these following first date guidelines in mind so you can be sure of choosing a place both of you can agree with:

Noise. In a first date you want to get to know the person you are going out with and the best way to achieve that is by talking. You will want to avoid events such as sporting events or rock concerts because you'll likely be forced to scream at each other to make sure you are heard, something that can ruin any date.

Adequate lighting. Body language is often more important than the spoken word, so on top of being able to hear each other, you should be able to see the other person's gestures and facial expressions. Aside from that, a poorly illuminated place gives your date the impression that you may be up to something sleazy - we won't elaborate on that further.

Price. Even if you can afford an expensive place, and you're planning to pay for the date, your date may feel uncomfortable in a too fancy place. The first date is such an edgy experience, so you wouldn't want to make your companion even edgier.

The last tip would be to avoid trendy "places to be." These places tend to be too crowded and, will expel the intimacy off your date.

Cafes, in our humble opinion, are the best places for any first date, because you can stay there for an extended period of time, get to know your companion with as little distraction as possible, and pay a relatively affordable bill for food and drinks once it's time to go home.
